This rental is great for single couples or small families with less than 4 kids (though I advise against it for those with kids under 3 because of the stairs).
The location is 5 minutes from a marketplace (Raleys, Starbucks, Baja Fresh, shopping, restaurants, etc.) and casinos. You can even walk there (Pioneer Trail road gets a bit busy and there are no formal sidewalks so becareful).
Its about 15 - 20 minutes from Camp Richardson, Anderson's Bicyles (great rentals), and a couple of the hiking trails (Fallen Leaf is one of them). Another 10 minutes and you are at Emerald Bay.
The only thing that may not be to your liking is that one of the bedrooms (both bedrooms are upstairs) has its window facing Pioneer Trail road. This road is used a lot by the locals (to avoid all of them tourists on South Lake Tahoe Blvd - I don't blame them - I use it too) all day and even late into the night. I've had a couple of friends say it kept them up, but I personally didn't mind. After a while the cards passing by just lulled me to sleep.
This rental is a definite for winter, too. Heavenly is 5 minutes away.

This condo was perfect for my family of four. The bedrooms were a great size. There is only one full bath but it was fitting for our family. The best part of it all was the location. My kids are 4 & 5 and they could only last about an hour outside. We spent a lot of time in the snow, which is right outside the door stop. Super convenient! It was nice, quiet, and relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone.

This property worked well for us. The price was right for a condo to house myself and two friends for a weekend of mountain biking.
The unit was clean and well furnished. The three large beds spread between two bedrooms upstairs was just what we needed. The living room and kitchen area were proportionately sized, though we didn't do any cooking on site.
The South Shore location was also very convenient. I could imagine this being an amazingly sweet spot in the winter for skiing, being located right next to Heavenly.
Only shortcoming: no hot tub in the community. Love the hot tub, whether it's after a mountain bike ride or a day on the slopes skiing. Oh well.

Overall, this location was great. Check-in was easy, the condo was very clean, and it was completely ready for guests. We had 7 people and everyone fit comfortably. We were close to Safeway, the beach, and the nightlife. Cab rides to and from cost $8! The only complaint is that the oven was broken and no one knew. We prepared an entire breakfast and when we turned on the oven only then did we discover it didn't work. Out of all the numbers provided in the condo, in the binder, in the folder, etc none of them worked. When we called the main rental office their message stated that they checked messages only during certain hours in the day. We missed the window of time and had to wait another 4 hours for anyone to possibly call us back. We kept calling and finally reached someone. She sent a repair man...who didn't come until after dinner. Obviously we didn't waste our day waiting - we went on about our business. We had some lovely neighbors who allowed us to use their oven and we got to eat our breakfast. The kicker is that when we returned home from the evening's festivities (at 3 am!) the oven had been left on! We smelled a bit of gas and could feel the heat seeping out. Upon checkout I mentioned this and expected a bit of a refund. I was told a manager, Chris, would contact me on Tuesday (we left Sunday). On the following Saturday I left a meassge because I had not heard from anyone. I called again on Monday and only then did I reach Chris. I was offered a coupon for a future stay but declined. I was able to get a monetary discount that was much more reasonable for the oven troubles we faced. It would've been nice, though, for the offices to call me back. I have a strong feeling that had I not kept calling I would've just recieved the coupon in the mail, which I had no interest in using.

Rental was good for the value. Clean, large bedrooms, good location, close to heavenly and to casinos. The only possible con is the living space was a bit small. Managable but smaller than I liked.

The condo was comfortable and was stocked with all of the necessities such as cookware, washer and dryer. The location was perfect. It is on the shuttle route for Heavenly which was ideal due to the snow and difficult driving conditons.
Weekend ski trip
Great service -allowed us to check in a little early. The house was very comfortable for 5people. Very clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Have to climb stairs to get to the front door, but that was OK for us. We liked that it is only 2 minutes from Gondola and casinos. Didnt like that it only has 1 full bathroom (1 shower for 5people). But overall a great value!

It is a very comfortable vocational house with everything we need. We think the owner is considerate. As she/he provide us the best, we treasure everything in the house to the best too. And its location is convenient too.
