Cape Cod-style Oceanfront Home

This house is amazing! It was very roomy and comfortable. The ocean views were stunning. The two story layout of the house was very functional. The kitchen was large with everything you need to cook and enjoy meals inside or out. There is cable TV and high speed wireless internet for additional entertainment and if you have to use your computer to work on line. Unfortunately, I was able to work remotely very effectively. When it came time to do laundry, the completely stocked service porch included a new washer and dryer. There is plenty to do while relaxing at Sea Cove, the house is stocked with books, music and videos. But, if you want to journey outside on a local hike, we found the walk to Belinda Point safe and easy. While walking down Pacific Way we were accompanied by a family of wild turkeys. Also, the Botanical Gardens are walking distance from Sea Cove. The drives, sightseeing and hiking at MacKerricher State Park and the city of Albion are great. Back at Sea Cove, we took a hike at low tide navigating the trails on the cliffs and walked on the rocks exploring the tide pools. When you get down to sea level you really get a different perspective of the surf. The crashing waves at times are enormous! The sea does get calm at times and I have heard the ocean kayaking and seasonal hunting for abalone is terrific. Ya better be licensed though if you decide to take an abalone home for dinner! Fish and Game wardens are on patrol for poachers. Every day before sunset, we would rush to the Sea Cove deck. Armed with cameras and glasses of wine we watched the sunset every night, wagering bets on if tonight's sunset would give us a glimpse of the famed "Emerald Flash". In the evenings, we would sit in the living room on a very comfortable and large couch enjoying a roaring fire while watching the stars disappear in the sky. We would play a guessing game of ?is it that one a planet or a star. The area is not near a big city so the night sky is filled with stars. A real treat was to walk outside from the downstairs bedroom on to the deck to a warm and clean spa. Removing the cover was easy and the privacy exceptional. We were lucky enough to be there when the moon was full and at its perigee, making it look rather large. It was hard to leave the spa on those nights. Off to bed where I have never slept better listening to the constant comforting sounds of the sea.
